Obituary

Monroe, NH- Edward Leonard Frado, Sr., 95, died at his home on Littleton Road on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Edward was born in Cambridge, MA on January 11, 1920, to Joseph and Rose (Monteiro) Frado. He was a graduate of Rindge-Latin High School in Cambridge. He enlisted in the US Navy on September 1, 1943, and served until honorably discharged on January 8, 1946. Edward worked for Conrail, having been a conductor for the B&M Railroad for 42 years. On July 24, 1976, he married Donna (Lindholm) Morin. They moved to Peacham, VT in 1987 and then to North Monroe in 2003. Edward obtained his private pilot's license in 1977 and enjoyed frequent flights to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. He flew part time for Shoreline Aviation in Marshfield, MA. Through his flying, he inspired his son, Skip, to obtain his pilot's license. In his spare time he enjoyed deer hunting. Edward loved riding his registered quarter horse, Zip, in Peacham, well in to his 80's. His German Shepherd, Vinny, was a constant companion. He loved gardening with Donna and working his property. He was predeceased by his brother, George Frado and his sister Alice Varney. He is survived by his wife of over 38 years, Donna Frado of North Monroe; children Edward L. Frado, Jr. and wife Elaine of West Palm Beach, FL, Ronald J. Frado and wife Kathy of South Weymouth, MA, Richard Frado and wife Ronalee of Newtown, PA, Arthur B. "Skip" Morin, Jr. and wife Colleen of Plympton, MA, Deborah M. Stuart of Green Harbor, MA, and Denise M. Morrison and fiancé` Gordon Lambert of Laconia, NH; twelve grandchildren, Ed, Wendy, Laura, Katie, Clinton, Kyle, Casey, Cody, Christopher, Kathy, Kristen, and Tim; six great grandchildren, Addison, Toby, Brayden, Jack, Tyler, and Jordan; a sister, Eleanor Klace of Whitefield, NH; a special nephew, Kevin Klace of Bethlehem, NH; special friends, Arnold "Jake" Nunn of Peacham and Jan Maroney of Longmont, CO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Sunday, July 12 at 1 PM in the North Monroe Cemetery, Littleton Road, Monroe, with Pastor Earl Brock, officiating. Immediately following the service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Monroe Town Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Manchester Office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
