Fairlee, VT Edward John Potter, 88, died on March 6, 2008 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Quincy, MA, June 26, 1919, the son of Edward A. and Emeline M. (Bowhay) Potter. Edward served in the U. S. Air Force from August 1942 to February 1946 as a Sergeant during World War II. He worked in different machine shops around Stoughton, MA, where he lived for many years, until moving to Bradford, VT in late 2002. Most recently he resided at Valley View in Fairlee, VT. Survivors include two nieces, Carol Cirion of FL, and Susan Rogers of MA; several cousins; Melvin Benzie of Bradford, VT, Charlotte Fadden of North Haverhill, NH, John Willard Benzie of Grand Rapids, MN, Janet Puffer of Groton, VT and Ina Corthell of Winter Park, FL. At Edward s request there will be no public services. Burial will be in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, MA.
