Obituary

Woodsville, NH Elden Curtis Wyman, 62, died on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Woodsville, NH, November 28, 1950, the son of Basil and Caroline (Fillian) Wyman. Elden graduated from Woodsville High School with the class of 1970. He married Rebecca Rock on August 7, 1971. Elden worked for Hartzell Construction for 13 years. Along with his brother Ken, they established Wyman s Plumbing and Heating. In April 2000 Elden started a new business, Franconia Auto Service Team, with his two sons, Jeremy and Jason, in Franconia, NH. Elden enjoyed gardening, fishing, and cooking. He was very handy and created things with his own hands with a variety of materials, from wood to metal, and doing electrical and plumbing work. He loved working on and restoring older cars and trucks. He was also very particular in planting and caring for his vegetable garden. He always had enough tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables to supply his family and friends with during the growing season. Elden s biggest enjoyment was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially his cats, Sadie, Teto, and Felix. He was predeceased by his father, Basil Wyman on December 10, 1969 and his mother, Caroline (Fillian) Wyman Morey on February 17, 1990. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rebecca Becki Wyman of Woodsville; two sons, Jeremy Wyman and wife Cheri of Woodsville and Jason Wyman and wife Vickie of Woodsville; three grandchildren, Dillon, Taylor, and Curtis; three step grandchildren, Robert, John, and Jessica; four step great grandchildren, Dante`, Annibelle, Lyllian, and Brayden; two sisters, Julie Phillips and husband Wayland of Bethlehem, NH and Cynthia Dyke of Littleton, NH; two brothers, Kenneth Wyman and wife June of Bath, NH and Edward Dudley of Providence, R.I.; a sister-in-law, Sue Gonyer of East Ryegate, VT; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be on May 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. There will be no other services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Above the Notch Humane Society, P O Box 456, Littleton, NH 03561.
