Monroe, NH - Eleanor L. Grimes, 88, died Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH, following a period of failing health. She was born in Lisbon, NH, October 10, 1926, a daughter of Tony and Ethel (Coates) Locke. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Malcolm "Bud" Grimes on October 22, 2005. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Grimes and wife Marlene of East Burke, VT, and Anthony Grimes of West Barnet, VT; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; five sisters Jeanette Meneguzzi, Adele Patch, Marguerite Currier, June Lamonde, and Celia Chouinard; two brothers David and Joseph Locke; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held for both Eleanor and Malcolm on Saturday, July 18, at 11 AM in the North Monroe Cemetery, Littleton Road, Monroe. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
