After some education at Gordon College, she worked at Equity Publishing and Dartmouth Printing. She then had a daycare for several years followed by a long career with the postal service where she retired as the Lyme Center Postmaster. Liz was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She loved crafting, gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles, ice cream, and spending time with friends and family. Traveling with friends was a passion of hers. Many people have spoken of her smile lighting up the room. She is survived by her children, Jean Underhill and partner Lucky Thurston of Piermont, Joanne Parker and husband Mathew of Orford, Paul Carter and wife Kami of Florida; grandchildren Christopher, Kimberly, Zachary, Olivia, Sean, and Madison; her four brothers, Fred Plaisted and wife Pat of Topsham VT, Daniel Keniston and wife Pat of Campton, NH, Willaim Plaisted of Campton, NH, Sam Plaisted and wife Becky of Campton, NH; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her special aunt, Dorothy Kushious. She was predeceased by her parents and several aunts and uncles. A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer. Her daughters would like to extend and special thank you to the staff of Margaret Pratt Community for giving her a place she loved to call home and also to Elmwood for taking such special care of her during her last days. Donations in her memory may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
