Piermont, NH Elizabeth G. Minkler, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Marvin A. Minkler, Sr. in 2002. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, she dedicated herself to her family, and filled her home with pictures and photograph albums of every one of them. Elizabeth was born and raised in Newport, VT, but spent most of her adult life at her home in Darien, CT. In the last few years she lived at her daughter s home in Piermont, NH. A working mom, Elizabeth was employed in Stamford, CT at Laminated Shim, Cerro Copper and Brass, and for years at Saint Joseph s Hospital. Elizabeth is survived by her son, Marvin Minkler Jr., and his wife Mary of St. Johnsbury, VT and her daughter, Betty Frate and her husband Ron of Piermont, NH; her sister, Mildred Langevin, and brothers Reg Fox of Waterford, CT, and Lawrence Fox of Norwalk, CT. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, and beloved aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews. They all filled her life with joy and laughter, and endless memories. Besides her family, Elizabeth loved to tend to her flowers and gardening at her home. Her love of reading often found her in her den, coffee at her side, and a book in her hands. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, December 7, at 11 AM, at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the Parish Hall in St. Andrews Episcopal Church at 1265 Main Street, St. Johnsbury, VT.
