North Haverhill, NH – Elizabeth Ann (Moon) Pierson, 86, passed away on July 26, 2024 at Grafton County Nursing Home with her family by her side.
She was born on December 13, 1937, in Phenix City, Alabama to Charles and Sarah (Crenshaw) Moon. She graduated from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, Florida in 1955 and then married Norman Pierson on September 30, 1955, later divorcing in 1984.
In 1962, Norm and Liz moved from Florida to Woodsville to raise their family.
Liz worked at Hovey's Shops in Woodsville, co-owned Carpet Fashions, and then retired from Grafton County Registry of Deeds with twenty years of service.
Liz enjoyed family time, cooking, caring for her great granddaughters, sitting on her porch, bird watching, tending to her flower gardens, listening to Celtic music, and vacationing with her daughters and their families.
Liz will always be remembered for her beautiful smile.
Liz was predeceased by her parents Charles and Sarah, a grandson, Brant Kithcart, her sister Jean Foster and Norman Pierson.
She is survived by her daughters; Sarah Denise Kithcart and husband Larry of Galeton, CO, Leslie Lackie and husband David of North Haverhill, NH and Christina Ianno and husband Nicholas of Landaff, NH, grandchildren; Michael Kithcart of Longmont, CO, Eric Kithcart and Kate of Greeley, Co, Amy Crocker and Todd of North Haverhill, NH, Jennifer Barkley and James of Lebanon, NH, Maria Curtis and Patrick of Foxborough, MA, great grandchildren, Tyler and Rylynn Kithcart, Abigial and Morgan Crocker, Aiden and Ayla Barkley and Nicholas and Jack Curtis, her sister Jane Fuller of MD, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Grafton County Nursing Home for the compassionate care given to Liz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Grafton County Nursing Home Association, 3855 Dartmouth College Highway, North Haverhill, NH 03774 or the Alzheimer's Association.
There will be a Calling Hour on Saturday August 10, 2024, from 3-4 PM at Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch St. Woodsville.
