Haverhill, NH - Ernest "Bud" Stephen Underhill, 88, of Court Street passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Cottage Hospital.

He was born to Stephen and Helen (Manchester) Underhill on July 28th, 1934, in Haverhill, NH.
He graduated from Bradford Academy in 1952 and went on to work as a machinist for Gerber Scientific in South Windsor, CT.

In his free time, he enjoyed maple sugaring, cutting wood, UCONN men's and women's sports programs, the former Brooklyn Dodgers, now known as the LA Dodgers, and any of the Boston sports teams. He was a lifetime member of the Rockville, CT Elks Lodge.

He is predeceased by his former wife, Nancy Wheeler Underhill, a brother, Lawrence Underhill, and a sister-in-law, Florence Underhill.

He is survived by his three sons, Stephen L. Underhill of Piermont, NH, Jeffrey S. Underhill and wife Abigail of Piermont, NH, and Murray N. Underhill and wife Nancy of Ellington, CT; a daughter, Elizabeth Underhill-Cooper of Florida; two brothers, John Underhill of Piermont, NH and Hugh Underhill and wife Patricia of Haverhill, NH; a sister, Miriam Norton and husband Richard of Cadiz, KY; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Shawn Marsh for all the wonderful care provided to Bud over the past 3 years.

There will be a graveside service at the South Lawn Cemetery in Piermont, NH, on November 12th, at 1 PM.
