Barnet, VT -- Ethel Irene Desrosiers, 81, of Church Street, died on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at her residence. Ethel was born in Deer Park, Washington, June 9, 1929, the daughter of Oscar O. and Helen Irene (Lindsay) Hussey. She married Joseph E. Desrosiers on August 7, 1961. She spent her early years in Nevada and had also lived in California and Utah. Joseph and Ethel settled in Barnet in 1979, where they purchased a dairy farm. Her interests included reading, cross word puzzles, and board games. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Wilma Hussey and Audrey Hussey; and two brothers, Thomas Hussey and James Hussey. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Joseph E. Desrosiers; a daughter, Dawn Onalfo and husband Len Ferrier of Brentwood, California; three grandsons, James Hernandez, Angelo Joseph Onalfo, and Michael Onalfo; nine great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Hussey of Reno, Nevada and Harry Hussey of Georgia. At Ethel's request there will be no public services. It is Ethel's wishes that memorial contributions be made to Caledonia Home Health, 161 Sherman Drive, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
