Sumter, South Carolina -- Eugene Maurice Naylor, 71, beloved husband of Patricia Marie Young Naylor, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Naylor was born on November 26, 1939 in Woodsville, NH, a son of the late Maurice and Leona Naylor. He retired from the United States Air Force and was a franchisee of Tom s Snack Food s, worked part time at the Rod and Gun Club of Shaw Air Force Base and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Eugene Naylor and a brother, Kenneth Naylor. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Marie Young Naylor of Sumter, SC; a son, James Phillip Naylor and his wife Jennifer of Dalzell; two daughters, Marie Naylor Walker and her husband Joel of Sumter and Catherine Barbara Clark and her husband Alfred Allen of Dalzell; two sisters, Dorothy Stanton of Charlestown, NH and Pamela Young of Ashland, NH; three grandchildren, Taylor Marie Walker, Allen Clark, III and Joshua Clark and four great grandchildren. A calling hour will be on Tuesday, August 9, from 3 to 4 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. Burial services with military honors will follow at 4 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville, NH. Memorials may be made to the Rod and Gun Club of Shaw AFB.
