Monroe, NH – Eunice Creola Rowe was born August 6, 1915, in Hamilton, Texas, fifth of ten children and oldest daughter of Julius Edward Munday and Edna Pearl Stanford. She died on Sunday, February 17, 2013 after several years of declining health. Following high school she graduated from business college in Austin, Texas. She served as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army during World War II where she met her future husband who was assigned to the medical corps at Camp Hood. She married Thurlow A. Rowe after the war ended and moved to his home in Concord, NH in 1946. She joined the South Congregational Church, where she has been a life long member, and where she taught Sunday School and served as a Cub Scout Den Leader. She also joined the Concord Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and served in multiple capacities, including Worthy Matron. She was a long time employee of the Concord Group Insurance Company in Concord, NH, as well as assisting her husband, Thurlow in the operation of his business, the former Rowe Funeral Home in Concord, NH. Following her retirement and the death of her husband, she relocated to Monroe, NH to be near her family. Prior to her decline in health she took great satisfaction in gardening. She is survived by her son, Thurlow A. Rowe, Jr. and granddaughter, Crystal L. Rowe; and also by two sisters, Faye Crumely of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas and Myrtice Phears of Midlothian, Texas; and by one brother, V. B. Munday of Hamilton, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews from Florida to Texas. Burial will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
