Woodsville, NH -- Evelyn Ann Leonard, 81, formerly of Squirrel Lane, died on April 7, 2008, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH. Evelyn was born in Winchester, MA, on March 29, 1927, to Charles K. and Alice V. (Riley) Strong. She married John F. Leonard on June 9, 1946. Evelyn moved to Lincoln, NH, from Woodsville in 1965 and returned in 1996. While in Lincoln, she worked as the receptionist at the Beacon Motel for 25 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Woodsville, NH and formerly of St. Joseph s Catholic Church in Lincoln. She was predeceased by her husband John on July 1, 2002 and her brother, John G. Strong. She is survived by her daughter, Donna S. Boissonneault and husband Paul of Lincoln, her son Dana F. Leonard and wife Sue of Glencliff, NH; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. At Evelyn s request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street, Woodsville, with Father Daniel J. Sinibaldi officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln.
