Lyman, NH – F. Clark Brooks, 68, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, doing what he loved to do, hunting in his favorite spot.  He was born on July 6, 1956, in Littleton, NH to his parents Lillian (Irwin) and Frank E. Brooks.

He spent his childhood in Lisbon and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1974. In his youth he worked at the Stimson Farm, until 1977 when he joined the US Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged in 1981 as a Sargent. After his service he started working at New England Wire Technologies in Lisbon, retiring in January of 2022.  He owned and operated CSR Lawnmowing.

Clark married Cindy Gonyer on October 6, 1984; they tied the knot at the White Church in Lisbon and just recently celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary.

When Clark wasn't working, he enjoyed hunting, and he cherished time with family.  He had formed a strong bond with his grandchildren who gleefully called him "Pa".  He and Cindy frequently took vacations with family and friends.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post 20 in Woodsville.

He was also known for his carpentry skills.  He enjoyed helping to build not only his home, but the homes of his children, as well as many wood working projects from his home shop.

Clark was predeceased by a daughter, Chelsea Brooks, as well as by his father Frank Brooks and a sister, Doris Hubbard.

He will be remembered by his wife, Cindy Brooks; his mother, Lillian Brooks, of Bradford, VT;  his daughters, Sarah Flood and her husband Cody of South Ryegate, VT, and Rachel Riendeau and her husband Andrew of Lyndonville, VT; his grandchildren, Wilder, Laramie, Teagan and Blake; his brothers, Irwin Brooks and Debra Meyette of Haverhill, NH, and Robert Brooks and his wife Kris of Lisbon, NH; his sisters, Bonnie Burroughs and husband Bill of Haverhill, NH, Susan Burroughs and her husband Leonard of South Ryegate, VT, and Wanda Fenoff and her husband Richard of Landaff, NH; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

A memorial service for Clark will be held at the Elks Lodge 1831, 42 Main St. Bethlehem NH, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11 AM. There will be a private committal at the family lot in Lyman, NH.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of F. Clark Brooks to Lisbon Fire & EMS, 153 South Main St. Lisbon, NH 03585.
