North Haverhill, NH – Florence Virginia Steil, 98, died Monday, April 14. 2014 at the Grafton County Nursing Home.

She was born in Chambersburg, PA, April 25, 1915, a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Elizabeth (Middour) Blubaugh. Mrs. Steil lived in the Baltimore, MD area until 1958 when she moved to Anniston, AL. While living in Alabama she established and taught at four kindergarten schools. In 1978 she moved to Chambersburg, PA, then to Ryegate, VT in February 2011 to be closer to her son and family.

She married Gilbert Phillip Steil on May 1, 1936 and he predeceased her on October 8, 2007. Florence was also predeceased by her sister, Haidee Kasluski; and a brother, Benjamin F. Blubaugh, Jr.,

Survivors include two sons, Gilbert P. Steil, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Ryegate, VT, and Mark B. Steil and wife Roberta of Midlothian, VA; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Gene Taylor of Baltimore, MD; along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no local services. Burial will be in the Park Lawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.
