Woodsville, NH Floyd R. Gib Gibson, 86, died on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at his daughter s home in Monroe, NH, following an extended illness. He was born in Newbury, VT, October 15, 1926, a son of George W. and Gladys E. (Keyes) Gibson. Gib graduated from Newbury High School, class of 1944. He served with the U. S. Army from December 1944 to November 1946. He married Lamona Lee Mona Vance on August 11, 1952. Gib worked for many years at Adams Paper Company in Wells River, VT, as a machinist and chief of maintenance, then moved on to be a machinist at Burndy Corp. in Littleton, NH, retiring after 20 years. He was a New England sports fan, watching the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics. Earlier in his life he enjoyed playing baseball, softball, and became an avid golfer. He was also a former Little League Baseball Coach. He was predeceased by his wife Mona on March 8, 2011; a sister, Myrtle; and two brothers, Vern and Robert Gibson. Survivors include two children, Gail Bunnell and husband Rocky of Monroe, and Lt. Colonel (USAF Retired) Randy Gibson and wife Robin of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren Cody Gibson, Britany Gibson, Ashlee Gibson, Brianna Wonders, Heath Bunnell and Trevor Bunnell; six great grandchildren, Shaylee Wonders, McKenna Wonders, Carter Bunnell, Cole Bunnell, Sofia Bunnell, and Zoe Bunnell; two sisters in law, Helen MacDonald of Zephyrhills, FL and Sherry Brill and husband Jack of Woodsville; a very special niece, Diana Fadden of North Haverhill, NH; along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be on Thursday, July 11, at 1 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.
