Obituary

Orford, NH Frank Albert Pushee, 81, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH. He was born in Hanover, NH, August 17, 1930, the son of David and Florence (DeGoosh) Pushee. Frank graduated from Orford High School, class of 1949. He had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from April 8, 1954 to March 16, 1956. Frank had worked construction and did carpentry for Trumbull- Nelson in Hanover and for Carl Johnson in Fairlee, VT. Frank also farmed in Orford for five years. He was a member of the American Legion in Lyme, NH. He enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, fishing, and hunting. Frank also thrived when working on his firewood pile. Frank loved spending time with his family and friends and, especially, his grandchildren and his dog Jody. Frank was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Pushee and Jean Ricker; two brothers, Donald Pushee and Stanley Pushee. Survivors include his two sons, David Pushee and his wife Michelle of North Haverhill, NH and Dale Pushee and his fianc Yvonne of White River Junction, VT; two daughters, Lucinda Cindy Desilets of Canaan, NH and Tammy Pushee of Corinth, VT; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Joanne O Donnell and her husband Hugh of Lyme, NH, Irene Dottie Gernhart and her husband Fred of Lyme, NH and Mae Borger and her husband Richard of Wentworth, NH; a brother in law, John Ricker of Claremont, NH, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Grafton County Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to Frank. Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 15, from 5 to 7 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A graveside service will be on Friday, May 25, at 2 PM at the East Cemetery in Orford, NH, with Rev. Jane Wilson from the Orford Congregational Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, Tribute Fund, McGreal Sight Center, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301-9977 or the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council, Inc.
