North Haverhill, NH-  Fred Harry King, 94, of Terrace Drive, died on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH.

Fred was born in Landaff, NH on October 13, 1922 to Philip W. and Josephine L. (Hunt) King.  He worked on the power lines from the Comerford Dam and then for Northeast Hardwood Mill in North Haverhill for eighteen years.

Fred lived most of his entire life in North Haverhill. He loved country music.  Fred stayed busy by tinkering, mowing, and building things.  He was easy to talk with and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.  He loved his family, children, and grandchildren.  He had a deep love of God.

He was predeceased by a sister, Irma Monty and two brothers, Adylor and Walter King.

He is survived by two daughters, Elaine Hanley and husband Karl of North Haverhill,  and Anne Abear and husband Patrick of Ashland, NH; a son, Philip King and wife Lois of Bethlehem, NH; seven grandchildren; a sister, Rowena Nelson of North Haverhill;  several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his former wife, Nancy King Ulery of Wells River, VT.

A calling hour will be on Saturday, November 19th from 10-11 AM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, with a graveside service following at 11:30 AM  in the Center Haverhill Cemetery, Benton Road, North Haverhill with Rev. Heidi Smith, officiating.
