Gail Harriet (Sanborn) Peters, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Landaff, NH on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024.  She was born to Richard and Cora (Blake) Sanborn on August 20th, 1943, in Lyme, NH.  She grew up in West Rumney, NH with three siblings Tom, Dan, and Troy.  She married Errol Peters on April 6th, 1963, at the Wentworth Congregational Church, and had four children.  She was a homemaker for most of her life.  She cooked for Lovetts Inn for several years, after her children graduated, and before she again stayed at home to care for her grandchildren.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and gardening, to name a few hobbies. She was passionate about painting, creating several works that she displayed at her home and shared with friends and family.  She led a 4H club in Landaff, NH for many years, during which time she shared her love of these hobbies with many local children who could often be found at her house working on projects for the fair. Through her late 70s, there was never a Christmas or birthday when a child or grandchild did not receive something homemade.  Errol would be just as surprised as the recipient.
She is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Cora.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Errol Peters, as well as her children and their spouses, Ben and Melissa Peters, Jenn and Thad Adams, Bo Peters, Francie Kinney, eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Ricker Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch St. Woodsville, NH on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 2 PM.
