Newbury, VT- Gary Frederick Vielleux, 62, of Evergreen Drive, died on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH.

Gary was born in Haverhill, NH on March 10, 1955, to Frederick L. and Irene E. (Powers) Vielleux.  He was a graduate of Oxbow High School and completed two years of Automotive Mechanics at Oxbow Vocational Center with Mr. Moore.

Gary worked for the Town of Newbury Highway Department until health concerns forced his retirement.

Gary enjoyed motorcycles and trucks and had completed courses for a motorcycle mechanics course.  He was very much a "Chevy Truck" man and was an animal lover in his later years.  Gary taught himself woodworking and built some beautiful furniture including a grandfather clock for his parents.  Gary especially treasured time spent with his good friends, Andy Rosen and Joe Truss.  Gary was a very kind hearted man and helped those he allowed to get close to him in any way he could.

He was predeceased by his father, Frederick L. Vielleux on January 23, 2012, his mother, Irene E. Vielleux on November 17, 2014, and by his brothers, Randy A. Vielleux on November 6, 1989 and Ty M. Vielleux on November 1, 1995.

Gary is survived by his long-time partner, Anita Locke of Newbury; a son, Jean Pierre Frederick Vielleux of Lisbon, NH; a stepson, Bryan Locke and his partner Heidi Wright of Wells River, VT; a grandson, Aidan Vielleux of Lisbon; a step-grandson, Hunter Locke; a sister-in-law, Paula Vielleux Bukowski and husband Ed of West Newbury; a niece, Stacy Vielleux and a nephew, Jonathan Vielleux; a great niece, Hannah and a great nephew, Marley; along with aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In keeping with Gary's wishes, there are no public services being planned.
