North Haverhill, NH Gerald Rose, 81, of Sand Road, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at home following a period of failing health. He was born in Newton, MA, July, 14, 1930, the son of Frank and Mary (Stevens) Rose. Gerald served with the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He served in Germany, France, and Holland. Gerald married the former Barbara Heffernan on March 24, 1956. He worked for the town of Watertown, MA for many years prior to his retirement, when they moved to North Haverhill. He was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph s Catholic Church, Woodsville until poor health prevented him from attending. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barbara of North Haverhill; their children Barbara A. Rose of Woodsville, Michael Rose of Chelmsford, MA, Mary C. Baillargeon and husband Roland of Littleton, NH, Theresa D. Sutherland of Woodsville, Ann Marie Rose of North Haverhill, Geraldine J. Rose of North Haverhill, NH, Margaret J. Kizik and husband Robert C., Jr., of Waltham, MA, and Joseph F. Rose of North Haverhill; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jones and husband Gerald of Lexington, MA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be calling hours on Sunday, July 1st, from 2 to 4 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 2nd, at 11 AM at St. Joseph s Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street, Woodsville with Father Jeffrey Statz as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph s Catholic Cemetery, Bath, NH.
