Obituary

Lebanon, NH - Gilbert (Gib) W. Daniels 75, Woodsville, passed away at the Jack Byrne Palliative Care and Hospice Center on Sunday, April 23, 2023, after a continuing heart illness, with the love of his life, Rebecca (Becki) by his side.

Gib was born in Woodsville, N.H. on September 6, 1947, to Andrew (Ace) Daniels and Laurian (Grenier). Gib grew up in South Ryegate, VT, and attended Woodsville High School. Gib and his father, Andrew Daniels, owned and operated the Wells River Gulf for 25 plus years which included a wrecker business (The Hook), as well.

When the high-tech aspect of cars came about, Gib took to the road with his Freightliner, and a pull behind trailer with his companion "Woof". A five-pound Yorkie, which he would tell folks, "You better stay away from my truck because I have a 150-pound Rottweiler in there".

He hauled anything and everything that he could fit on this truck. He traveled up and down the Eastern seaboard and across the country many, many times, covering every state except Hawaii running up over 2 million miles with his companions Woof, Robbie, Zena, Rosie and Bear.
Gib married Becki (Rock) Wyman on August 18, 2018, after being together the previous five years.  Gib's life finally was moving in the right direction.  Becki traveled with Gib on the truck, and they enjoyed all the wonderful places there was to see.

One special trip was to Alaska for 31 days, they rented a motorhome and made some of the best memories anyone could have. During this trip he celebrated his 70th birthday at the F Street Station in Anchorage, Alaska.

Gib is survived by his wife, Rebecca; Bear; stepson, Jeremy Wyman (Stephanie) and Taylor (Jon), Curtis (Haley), Cooper (Nicole), Calsea (Matt), Ruby (Violet), Caylea (Brice), Bowyn, and Adley; stepson, Jason Wyman (Jaime) and Mckenna and Mariah; sister-in-law, Sue Gonyer and Nicole (Drew), Kyle, Trace and Sophia; sister, Marjorie Bone, and family Tuesdie (Peter), Carbonneau Talan(Chelsea), Opal, and Tayla.  David Bone Jr. (Mary) and family Genevieve, Evalyn and Melanie (Kim) Laduke; sister, Rachel Clough (Glenn Cloud) and family Andrea Gravlin, Amy (Joel) Beckley, Laura (Adam), A.J., Paisley, Tyler and Jace; several nephews, Sean Hatch, Russell Smith, (Sherri) and family Nicole and Kaitlin, Gene Smith Jr's children, Laurian and Adam; along with many special friends Ron and Carol, Pam, Ashley and Mike; and all his diner friends Jen, Aaron, Nicole and Riley.
