Glenn C. Dow Jr.  85 years old of East Topsham, VT, died at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Glenn was born on August 3, 1936, in Windsor, VT to Glenn C. and Nellie P. (Lucarelli) Dow.  He graduated from Windsor High School with the Class of 1954 and went on to further his education at Norwich University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was a long-time resident of Somers, CT.

Glenn was an engineer at United Technologies for 34 years until he retired back to his beloved Vermont.  In his youth he enjoyed skiing (both cross country and downhill), bottle digging, target shooting, ice hockey, and attending antique auctions.  After retiring, Glenn was a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons Lodge and studied to become a farrier.  He loved to be outdoors and could often be found mowing the fields, mending fences, cutting, and spitting firewood, and gardening.  Glenn and his wife had many happy years living in the old Miller's Store, running a Bed and Breakfast centered on horse trail riding. More than anything else, Glenn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Burnice Dow, three children, three stepchildren, ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.  He is predeceased by his parents, and a sister Carrie Hazard.

A graveside service will be held at the Welch Road Cemetery in East Topsham, VT on Saturday October 30, 2021, at 2PM
