Monroe, NH Glennis Elaine Nye, 91, of Main Street, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, NH. She was born in Greenfield, ME, Ocotber 18, 1923, a daughter of Darrell and Julia (Madden) Harris, and was a graduate of Higgins Classical Institute, Charleston, ME. Glennis worked at Maple Grove, Inc., in St. Johnsbury, VT, retiring in 1990 after 25 years. Glennis married the Rev. Warren E. Nye on July 3, 1943, and he predeceased her on November 25, 1982. Survivors include two sons Richmond R. Nye of Escondido, CA, and William W. Nye of Halifax, Nova Scotia, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister Wilda Gould of Elizabeth City, NC, along with several nephews. There will be no calling hours. Private family burial services will be held in the spring in the Monroe Village Cemetery.
