Harlan R. Fawver, 84, Woodsville, died at Cottage Hospital after a period of failing health.  He was bon in Braham, MN to Russell S. and Maybelle E. (Saufferer) Fawver.

Harlan graduated from Davenport Iowa High School with the class of 1957.  He enlisted in the US Navy and traveled throughout Europe.  He was honorably discharged after 10 years and found employment as a heavy hydraulic mechanic for Feroletto Steel Co. in Bridgeport. CT.  Harlen rode his first Harley Davidson at the age of 12 and for the next 71 years, Harlen went fast, it could be a Harley, high performance speedboat on Long Island Sound, or the latest sports car, you couldn't catch Harlen, until he slowed down enough for the only thing he loved more than going fast, and that was spending time with family and friends.

Harlan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Carol A. (Samomek) Fawver; two sons Mark Fawver, and John Fawver Sr. of; four grandchildren, Russell Fawver Jr., John Fawver Jr., Amanda Fawver and Lisa Fawver.  He is predeceased by his parents and a son Russell Fawver Sr.
