Haverhill, NH- Harry James Davidson, 77, of Pine Park, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH surrounded by his family, following a long battle with cancer.
Harry was born in West Fairlee, VT on May 3, 1942 to Ralph Peryle and Catherine May (Hutchinson) Davidson. On February 14, 1991 he married Lenora A. "Lee" Prue.
For 28 years, Harry was a foreman at Bradford Veneer and Panel Company. Then he owned and operated Harry's Lawn Care for 29 years.
Harry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed carpentry, shooting pool and participating in pool tournaments. He was a former member of the Ammonoosuc Fish and Game Club and the Ammonoosuc Valley ATV Club.
Harry raced at Bear Ridge in its initial year, 52 years ago, and raced again in its 50 th anniversary year and last year. He also raced at Norway Pines in Rumney where he was track champion in 1994. In the 1970s he raced snowmobiles.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Davidson, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lenora A. "Lee" Davidson of Haverhill; a son, Scott Davidson and Jennie Sweet of Thetford, VT; three daughters, Desiree Costa and husband Tiberio of Bristol, RI, Crystal Smith and husband Andrew of Franklin, NH, and Halee Allen and husband Brent of Haverhill; a step-son, Mickey Fadden of Lebanon, NH; six grandchildren, Zachary Davidson, Caleb Davidson, Jenna Davidson, Schala Fadden, Charlie Allen, and Griffin Smith who will be born in September; two sisters, Julie Peterson and Priscilla Merriam; a brother, Alan Davidson; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral service will be on Friday, June 7 th at 3 PM at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH with Rev. David Pruitt, officiating.
A private burial will be in the East Haverhill Cemetery at a later date.
