McIndoe Falls, VT Hazel Isabelle Pearl, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, surrounded by her family. Hazel was born in Lisbon, NH on January 9, 1927, to Carl Lee and Ethel Mae (Gravett) Williams. She was a graduate of McIndoe Falls Academy, Class of 1945. Over the years, Hazel worked at the McIndoe Inn as a chambermaid and at Lake Morey Inn. She also cleaned homes and did babysitting for several families. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting. An active volunteer, for many years, she was the face of fundraising for cancer funds in the McIndoe Falls area. Mostly, Hazel enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Maurice Kendall in 1950; her first husband, Ernest W. Kendall in 1970; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Kendall in 1982. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Russell E. Pearl, to whom she was married on June 26, 1976; her children, Richard E. Kendall of Monroe, NH, Linda K. Peak of St. Johnsbury, VT, Roger W. Kendall of McIndoe Falls, William L. Kendall and wife Sandy of Wells River, VT, and Susan K. Blaisdell and husband Steven of McIndoe Falls; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Davidson and Sylvia Patten, both of North Haverhill, NH; a brother, Richard Williams and wife Grace of Warwick, MA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 21, from 6-8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A celebration of her life will be on Tuesday, July 22, at 11 AM at Ricker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the McIndoe Falls Cemetery, McIndoe Falls, VT.
