Woodsville, NH Helen Jean Lambert, 83, of Central Street, died November 29, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Haverhill, NH, February 13, 1929, a daughter of Leon Heck Bigelow and Mary (Plante) Bigelow. For 14 years Helen was a nurse s aide at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill, and later for 10 years at the Glencliff Home, Glencliff, NH. Helen was always the communicator and resource for the Bigelow family. She kept everyone up-to-date on the family news. She will be fondly remembered as a lady with a big heart , her love of family, and always caring for others. She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Frank, Arthur Stub , Maurice Lucky , and Douglas Bum Bigelow; and her brother-in-law, Fred Lang. Survivors include her son Steve Smith of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter Carrie Smith, grandson Adam Smith, and great granddaughter Mia, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Edith Demetrules and Ella Lang, both of North Haverhill, and Shirley Nicol and husband Berk of Piermont; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Alice, and Janice Bigelow all of North Haverhill; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a very dear grand niece Lindsay Bigelow. Calling hours will be on Friday, December 7th from 10:30 AM to noon, with the funeral service beginning a noon, at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. Pastor Susan Ellery of the North Haverhill United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Center Haverhill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one s choice.
