South Ryegate, VT- Helene Rita Mills, 69, died at her home on Barr Drive, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Helene was born in Manchester, NH on April 21, 1946, to Albert and Claire (St. Germain) Brouillard . She graduated from high school in Havelock, NC. Eventually she received her Associate's Degree from New Hampshire College. She married Kenneth Mills on August 22, 1966. For 28 years, Helene was employed as an executive secretary for Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH prior to it becoming Lockheed Martin and eventually Martin Marietta. She played golf and enjoyed fishing. Helene was happiest at home on her land with her hands in the dirt, the wind on her face and the sun warming her entire being. She is survived by her husband of over 49 years, Kenneth Mills of South Ryegate; a daughter, Leslie Ann Ornstein and husband David and family, Jacob and Nicole Ornstein of Monument, CO; a son, Michael Mills and wife Michelle and family, Colton and Clare Mills of Saucier, MS; and a brother, Raymond of North Carolina. A service is being planned for November in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
