North Haverhill, NH- Henry Francis Bartkowski, 82, of Terrace Drive, died on May 6, 2008, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, NH. He was born on January 19, 1926, in Port Washington, NY, to Walter and Bernice Bartkowski. He joined the US Air Force and served in World War II. Following the war, he was employed as a telephone installer for New York Telephone. Mr. Bartkowski married Mary Pat Lockwood on August 16, 1947. Together, they moved from Port Washington to North Haverhill, NH, in 1983. He attended St. Joseph s Catholic Church, Woodsville, NH, and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Radio Relay League. He was predeceased by his siblings Mary Borkowski, Eleanor Halufska, and Frederick and John Bartkowski. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat Bartkowski, of North Haverhill, two sisters, Gladys Pryzewski of New Hyde Park, NY, and Helen Walsh of New Port Richey, FL, and his brother, Albert Bartkowski, also of New Port Richey; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be on Friday, May 9, 2008, from 6-8 PM, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH, and at McLaughlin Funeral Home, Glen Cove, NY on Monday, May 12, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on May 13, at 10 AM, at St. Patrick s Catholic Church in Glen Cove. Burial will follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, Long Island, NY.
