North Monroe, NH Howard B. Ward, Jr. died on Monday, April 19, 2010, at his farm on Ward Road. He was born at Brightlook Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, July 12, 1947, the son of Howard B. and Barbara Baker (Fadden) Ward, Sr. Howard grew up and went to school in Monroe and graduated from McIndoes Academy, class of 1965. Howard started his lifetime career as a self-employed dairy farmer. Howard married Deborah Bergeron on December 11, 1976. For the past 5 years he worked part time at Pete and Gerry s Organics in North Monroe. He enjoyed hunting, farming, socializing, dancing, Fox News, helping anyone he could, and traveling. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and adopted children . He was predeceased by his parents, Howard B. Ward, Sr. on July 20, 1967, and Barbara Baker Ward on April 14, 2006, and a niece, Mary. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah Ward; 8 children, Stacy Kirkus and husband Jason of North Carolina, Sharon Edson and husband Ralph, Lisa Cowell and husband Joel, Lance Ward, Lacy LaPete and husband Raymond, Howard B. Trey Ward, III, Todd Ward, Taylor Ward all of Monroe; 9 grandchildren; his siblings, Harlow C. Ward and wife Joan of Monroe, Barbara W. Fifield and husband Mike of Fairlee, VT, Terrill J. Griffis and husband Kyle of Salisbury, NC, Theodore J. Ted Ward and wife Fey of Monroe, Kermit Ward of Monroe and, Barrington H. Barry Ward and wife Delia of Monroe; 16 nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 22 from 6 to 8 PM, at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A funeral service will be on Friday, April 23 at 2 PM at the Union Baptist Church, 932 U.S. Route 5, Waterford, VT with pastor Paul Powers officiating.
