Bradford, VT James Curt Corliss, 66, died on March 31, 2008 at the Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. He was born in Hanover, NH, December 14, 1941, the son of Henry C. and Jessie (O Brien) Corliss. James graduated from Bradford Academy and attended Champlain College in Burlington, VT. He was previously married to Donna Williams. James then married Debbie Thurston on June 19, 1982. He had worked for many years as a salesman for GMS Hydraulics. James also worked at Perry s Oil and helped out around PTO Garage in Bradford. He was an avid racing fan, either supporting his grandson, Jason Corliss at Thunder Road, Barre, VT, announcing races at Bear Ridge Speedway, Bradford or cheering on Dale Earnhardt, Sr. James loved taking his dog, Princess for rides in the truck. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry C. and Jessie (O Brien) Corliss; three sisters, Virginia Fornwalt, Bette Stafford and Pricilla Corliss; two brothers, David Corliss and Carnes Corliss; a stepson, Scott Sleeper. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Debbie Corliss of Bradford, VT; a son, James D. Corliss and wife Annette of Plainfield, VT; a stepson, Michael H. Sleeper and wife Deborah of Bradford, VT; four grandchildren, Greg, Holly, Jason and Lily; one great grandson, Ryan; a sister, Jessie Hand of New Jersey; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be on Friday, April 4, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A graveside service will be on Friday, May 23, at 3 PM at the East Corinth Cemetery, East Corinth, VT, Rev. William Wick, officiating.
