James "Big Jim" P. Emery Sr, 58, of Piermont, NH, passed away on Thursday, November 30th at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with family by his side.

He was born on July 2nd, 1965, to Robert and Jane (Downey) Emery in Norwood, MA.
He was raised in Dedham, MA, and attended Dedham High School. After school he worked as a mason around Massachusetts before moving to the Haverhill area in 1995.
He worked at Rugar, Upper Valley Press, and most recently New England Wire as a machine operator.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, family cookouts, big bonfires, and fireworks.  He was a lover of classic rock, especially KISS, and specifically the drumming of Peter Criss.  Most importantly he loved his family and his dogs.

He is predeceased by his mother, Jane (Downey) Emery, cousin David Downey, and beloved dogs, Blue, Shadow, and Ginger.

He is survived by his father, Robert Emery of Marlboro, MA; a son, James P. Emery Jr of Piermont, NH; two daughters, Ashlie Ladeau and husband Nathan of North Haverhill, NH, Allyssa Emery and significant other, Brennan Flint of Woodsville, NH; His significant other, Lori Anne Conley of Piermont, NH; two brothers, John Emery of Sandy VT, Jason Emery and wife Amakca of Blackstone, MA; four sisters, Allison Springer of Fitchburg, MA, Robin Sacobasin of Chelsea, MA, Shannon Thomas and husband Don of Norwood, MA and Jennifer Baron and husband Ray of Marlboro, MA; four grandchildren, Sabrina, Asa, Dominic and Roman; his canine companion, Pearl; and lots of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be calling hours at Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, on Thursday, December 7th from 5PM to 7PM.
A service will be held at Ricker Funeral Home at 11 AM on Friday, December 8th with Reverend Lyn Winter.
