East Ryegate, VT- James Allen Keenan, 33, formerly of School Street, died in Newmarket, NH on June 29, 2011. Jim was born in Haverhill, NH, on December 13, 1977 to Robert E. and Sheila (Stebbins) Keenan. Jim served our country in the NH National Guard serving with the 2-197th and then was transferred to the 3643rd. Jim had been deployed to Iraq twice. He had worked for Tom Sullivan Carpentry and Rood Roofing in St. Johnsbury, VT. Currently, he was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, NH. Jim is survived by his son, Robert J. Keenan of St. Johnsbury; his mother, Sheila Keenan of East Ryegate; his father Robert Keenan of East Ryegate; his sister, Desiree C. Smith and husband Edward of East Ryegate; his maternal grandmother, Thelma Stebbins of Littleton, NH; and two nieces, one nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A graveside service will be held on July 11, at 11 AM in the Ross-Wood American Legion Post # 20 lot in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville, NH.
