James Maynard Varnum, 91, died peacefully, in comfort and company, on December 14th, 2017, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
Born in Peacham, Vermont on January 24th, 1926, he was the son of Frederick Charles Varnum and Myrtie Grace (Stone) Varnum.

James was predeceased by his wife, Verna, a son, Larry James Varnum, and a granddaughter, Sarah Grace Varnum.
Survivors include a grandson, Mack Jameson Varnum; three great-grandchildren, Damien Alaric, Ariana Willow, and Niah Grace Varnum, along with abundant nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11 AM, at the Peacham Village Cemetery, with Dr. Rev. Robert A. Potter officiating.
