Obituary

North Haverhill, NH- Jane L. White Wheeler, 88, died on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill. Jane was born on April 15, 1925, in Meriden, CT, to Stanley and Daisy (Birks) Langner. Jane worked for many years as a sales clerk at Hovey's Shops in Woodsville, NH and also drove school bus for Arthur Clough in North Haverhill. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Haverhill, UCC and served as a deacon, sang in the choir, and was a member of the women's fellowship. She was a charter member of Haverhill Memorial VFW Post # 5245 Ladies Auxiliary. Jane enjoyed wintering with her husband, Floyd, in Arizona for several years. Jane was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas White, by her second husband Floyd Wheeler, by her son Paul S. White, and by her sister Nancy A. Jenkins. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia A. Patnode and husband Jim of Wilson, KS and Sara J. Williams and husband Perley of Groton, VT; one son Eric A. White and wife Maria of Metaire, LA; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Stanley F. Langner of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Haverhill, UCC, 122 School Street, Haverhill, NH on Wednesday, May 8th at 11 AM with Rev. David Pruitt, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxbow Cemetery, Newbury, VT.
