Obituary

Pike, NH- Janet Lee Collins, 85, of Lime Kiln Road passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH with her husband by her side.

Janet was born in Northbridge, MA to Vaughn and Mildred (King) Harding on February 5, 1936.

She was a graduate from Northbridge High School, class of 1954. She married Ronald Collins on September 6, 1958.

Along with her husband, Janet pastored a church in Leicester, VT.  She was instrumental in starting a Sunday School that eventually became the Trinity Nazarene Church in North Haverhill, NH and also taught school at the Newbury (VT) Christian School. For several years, she conducted a "cousins camp" at her home.  Over the years, Janet welcomed 14 foster and non-foster children and 2 families into her home.  She attended the Grace Assembly of God in Woodsville.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Jean; her parents, Vaughn and Mildred Harding; and two sisters, Louise Aites and Phyllis Wright

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ronald W. Collins of Pike; five sons, Malcolm Collins and wife Sue of Lewis, NY, Paul Collins and wife Tammy of Bath, NH, Kerry Collins and wife Laurie of Staunton, VA, Galen Collins and wife Lorie of Manassas, VA, Kyle Collins and wife Kasey of Sebago, ME; and her sixth son, Ge Wang of Seattle, WA; 22 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Vaughn Harding, Jr. and wife Verna of Hyannis, MA; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 11th  from 5:30 to 7 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville.

A funeral service will be on Friday, November 12th 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home with Reverend George Hemway officiating.
