Janet P. (Bastille) Waller, 97, North Haverhill, died at her home with family at her side after a period of failing health.  She was born in Winchendon, MA on August 4, 1925, to Arthur and Alvine (Henley) Bastille.  She graduated high school in 1942 and went on the attend and graduate from Worcester Memorial School of Nursing in 1947.  She married Robert Waller at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, in Winchendon, MA on April 7, 1947.

Janet spent a brief period working at Worcester area hospitals before purchasing and managing Waller Nursing Home in Gardner, MA.  She and Robert expanded the business to include Winter Haven Rest Home in Gardner, Maple Hall Nursing Home in Worcester and Castle Park Nursing Home in Worcester.  She and Robert sold the business and moved to North Haverhill, NH in 1993.  Janet enjoyed traveling with her sister Ann, she was an avid reader, and a communicant at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodsville.

Janet is predeceased by her husband, Robert Waller in 1995, a daughter Susan Rinnus in 2021, three grandchildren, Robert Rinnus in 1971, Jarrod Rinnus in 2020, and Beverley Braun in 2020; seven brothers, Louis, Joseph, Theodore, Edward, John, William, and Arthur Bastille; five sisters Beatrice Davis, Edith Buckley, Sylvia Lemire, Bernice Evans, and Anne Jewett. She is survived by her son, Mark Waller of Spencerport, NY; a daughter Sandra Zammarelli and her husband Stephen of North Haverhill, NH; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a sister Theresa Prostak, of Worcester, MA, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 19, 2022, at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pine St. Woodsville, NH.  Interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Bath, weather permitting.
