Obituary

Janice (Robinson) Estes passed peacefully in her home on May 2, 2024, surrounded by her children and beloved dog.
Janice was born on May 15, 1946, to Charlotte (Camp) and John F. Robinson. Janice was raised in New Haven, CT. She attended the Eli Whitney trade school where she learned the art of sewing. She turned her trade into a career through her work as a seamstress in alteration shops and bridal boutiques. She later started her own business doing alterations and making American Girl doll clothes. Janice could be found at craft fairs throughout New Hampshire and Vermont, where she enjoyed selling her doll clothes to a large following.
Janice met her husband of 60 years, Paul Estes in 1964. In 1970, they moved from New Haven to Clinton, CT where they raised their three daughters. Janice was an active member of the Clinton United Methodist Church and developed many friendships with people in the community. Janice gave back to the community through her work as a Girl Scout leader for many years.
Throughout her life Janice always believed in helping others. She was generous and helpful to everyone she met. After moving to Monroe, NH, Janice became an active member of the Monroe Community Church and contributed as much as possible to church functions. She enjoyed and appreciated the time she spent both at the church and helping other members serve the community through their outreach and services.
Janice is predeceased by her husband, Paul Estes; both her parents Charlotte (Camp) Robinson and John F. Robinson; her brother John Robinson; her in-laws Margret (Johnson) Estes and Irving Estes; her brother-in-law Richard Estes and wife Rena; and her sister-in-law Carol Estes, and one grandchild.
Janice will be greatly missed by many, leaving behind her daughter's Paula (Estes) Ingerson and husband James of Monroe, NH, Katherine (Estes) McDermott and husband Brian of Landaff, NH, Christine (Estes) Noon and husband Griff of Pitman, NJ; two sisters Betsy (Robinson) Liscio of North Haven, CT, Claire (Robinson) Crotty and husband Ed of Westbrook, CT; brother-in-law Albion Estes and Janice of  Haverhill, NH; 7 grandchildren; three  great grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family members.
We would like to extend a heart felt thank you to North Country Home Health and Hospice and Caring Hands for their dedication to allow our mom to remain in her home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to North Country Home Health and Hospice, 536 Cottage Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
At Janice's request, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service with immediate family members will be held.
