Essex Junction, VT- Jeannine Mary Hart, 93, of Jericho Road, and formerly of Groton, VT, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Vermont Respite House in Williston, VT. Jeannine was born on June 20, 1921, in Blue Sea, Quebec to Alphonse and Victoria (Courclaine) Lacroix. Along with her husband, Stanley L. Hart, Jeannine lived in Groton for over fifty years before moving to Wells River in 1993 and then to Essex Junction in 1998. She attended the Groton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed time spent with the ladies of the church and their sewing group. She also liked berry picking and snowmobiling. Jeannine truly appreciated her family and the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Once she met someone, she considered them as part of her extended family. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Stanley Lawrence Hart on June 9, 1997; by a daughter, Barbara Whitehill and two granddaughters, Janice Marie and Tina Marie in March 1959; and by her siblings, Laurier Lacroix, Antoinette Avakian, Joseph Lacroix, Marianne Young, and Riena Lacroix. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Lyon and husband Peter of Groton, VT; four grandchildren, Jean Blunt and husband Greg, Gregg Lyon and wife Heather, Jeff Lyon and wife Dawn, and Chris Lyon and wife Kristen all of Essex Junction; thirteen great grandchildren, Jessica, Katlyn and Eric Blunt, Scott, Meghan, Allison, Ashley, Kelly, Noelle, Amanda, Matthew, Adam, and Kevin Lyon; a brother, Antonio Lacroix and wife Myrtle of Brusnwick, ME; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Friday, October 31 from 6-7:30 at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A funeral service will be on Saturday, November 1 at 11 AM at Groton United Methodist Church, Scott Highway, Groton with Pastor Candace Ricker, officiating.
