Oklahoma City, OK Jessie A. Kendall, 85, a former longtime Woodsville resident, died November 17, 2009 at her home in Oklahoma City. She was born in Haverhill, NH on November 16, 1924, a daughter of William Franklin and Mary Edna (Pike) Powers. Jessie worked for more than 40 years at the Grafton County Nursing Home and Complex as a certified nursing assistant and purchasing agent, retiring in 2000. In 2002 she moved to Oklahoma City where she lived near her daughter Mary Ann Peters and family. Jessie married Sherwin J. Kendall in 1966, and he predeceased her on January 2, 1981. Survivors include her daughter Mary Ann Peters and husband Steve of Oklahoma City, OK, and their sons Shaanan and Shawn Peters, also of Oklahoma City; also a daughter Barbara A. Hanchett and a son William Hanchett; a sister Madeline Bullard of Woodsville, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother William Powers. There will be calling hours on Tuesday, November 24th, from 6 to 8 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville. The funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 25th, at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Sue Ellery of the Woodsville United Methodist Church officiating.
