Barnet, VT John Henry Adams, Jr. 62, of Church Street, died on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Nashua, NH, on July 6, 1946, the son of John H. and Cecile (Brousseau) Adams, Sr. John graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 1964. He served with U. S. Army during the Vietnam War from November 1965 to August 1967. John married Donna Lynn Dunbar on October 19, 1968. For the past ten years he worked in shipping and receiving and was also a truck driver for North East Precision in St. Johnsbury, VT. He had previously worked for Maple Grove Farms as a warehouse manager in the shipping and receiving department. John was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed music, bluegrass festivals, sports, boating, the ocean, and making trips to Maine and Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecile (Brousseau) Adams on September 20, 1982 and John H. Adams, Sr. on December 3, 1994. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Donna L. (Dunbar) Adams of Barnet, VT; two sons, John H. Adams, III of Barnet, VT and James D. Adams of Plainfield, NH; two aunts and cousins. There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 17, at 1 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH with Rev. Ann Hockridge officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Barnet, VT.
