John Henry Noble, 73, of Landaff, NH passed away on October 22, 2009. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in both Hawaii and New Jersey. He moved to New Hampshire with his family in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Pauline of 50 yrs; his son, John, his wife Mary, and their three daughters, Anna, Natalie and Lauren; his daughter, Susan; son, Martin, his wife Alexandria, daughters Lily and Louisa and son Eban; as well as four siblings. He was predeceased by his parents and eight siblings. John Noble worked as a carpenter, and when he retired one of his hobbies was restoring old tools in which he spent many summers selling. His six grandchildren knew him as Poppop. Poppop loved to fish and he passed that passion on to many of them through countless summers spent fishing on the Connecticut River, Moore Dam, and Sebago Lake as well as collecting minnows on the Wild Ammonoosuc River. Not only was he their Poppop, he was also their friend. Memorials may be made to the Ammonoosuc Fish and Game Club Fishing Derby, PO Box 60, Woodsville, NH 03785, or to the charity of your choice. A celebration of his life was held on October 26th at St Joseph s, Woodsville, NH.
