Obituary

Jordan Belyea, 41, of Woodsville, NH, entered into the presence of the Lord on November 8, 2025, following an accidental overdose.

He was born to David and Juanita (Elliott) Belyea on September 21, 1984.

At an early age, Jordan believed in Jesus as his Savior.  He was homeschooled for most of his education.  Jordan enjoyed reading, debating, and competing in Bible quizzing.  He attended Christian summer camps, which he recently reminisced about with his mother.  He also went on a mission trip during his teens to Toronto.

Jordan loved pets and had many over the years.  Birds, fish, and dogs were among his favorites.  He also enjoyed riding his grandparents' horses.

Jordan took pleasure in gardening and indoor plants.  He loved making sauces and dishes with his home-grown vegetables.

Jordan was a people person.  He never met a stranger and enjoyed helping people and making friends everywhere he went.  He never judged others and had a kind heart.

Jordan loved to cook, which carried through to working in the restaurant business for most of his adult life.  He also enjoyed making large meals for friends and family, whether they joined him at his table or he delivered it to others who couldn't get out.  He worked for several years at The Coffee Pot in Littleton, NH.

Most recently, Jordan had done some carpentry work, often calling his father for advice and instruction.

Jordan battled drug addiction all his adult life.  It began after being the victim of sexual abuse as an adolescent, which went unreported.  That trauma led to a lot of poor life choices that changed him and destroyed so much of the hope and promise in his future.

Jordan joins his grandparents, Robert and Thelma Belyea, and Margaret Elliott in Heaven.  He also joins two uncles, (Doc) Belyea, and James (Jim) Belyea.

Jordan is survived by his parents, sisters: Sheena (Joshua) Stevens, Danielle (Jacob) Grant, Miranda (Jeff) Shawaryn, Brianna (Nathan) Jolley, and Erica (Zach) Westfall. He is also survived by his grandfather, James Elliott, Sr.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of nieces and nephews.
Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are you saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves: it is God's gift.  Not from works, so that no one can boast."

Jordan is no longer suffering in this life, and we have the assurance of seeing him again one day.

Donations can be made to Exodos Ministries, a residential program helping men overcome addictions through Jesus Christ.  www.exodosministries.com

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held in the summer of 2026 at the convenience of the family.
