North Haverhill, NH Josephine Josie Inez Vasquez, 84, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at her home. She was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, January 21, 1930, the daughter of Juan and Dolores (Vega) Vasquez. Josie married Gustavo Phil Vasquez on December 15, 1951. She worked for Pilgrim State Hospital in Brentwood, NY. Josie and Phil moved from Brentwood, Long Island to North Haverhill in 1990. She was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill. Josie loved the companionship that her dog Ginger gave her. She was very proud to be tech savvy. She was predeceased by her husband, Gustavo Phil Vasquez on March 31, 1994. Survivors include her four sons, Phil A. Vasquez and wife Francia of New York, NY, Ronald Vasquez of Manchester, NH, Michael A. Vasquez and wife Barbara of Los Angeles, CA, and Guy E. Vasquez of Bellport, NY; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Dolores Freda and husband Paul of Washington Township, NJ; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 2nd, at 2 PM in the Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 41 Nazarene Drive, North Haverhill, with Rev. George Hemway officiating. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 1 to 2 PM in the church. Burial will follow at the Horse Meadow Cemetery, North Haverhill.
