Wells River, VT Josephine Mae Stocker, 86, died Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, NH. She was born in Danville, VT, February 11, 1927, the daughter of Charles and Violetta (Green) Cookson. Josephine had resided in Rutland, VT for 33 years prior to moving to Wells River in the early 1990 s. While in Rutland, she was a waitress at Lindholms and later Jim Dunn s Restaurants. She was predeceased by her former husband, Richard Stocker, a brother, Edward Cookson; a daughter in law, Cheryl Stocker. Survivors include a son, Curtis Stocker and companion Liz Achilles of Ryegate, VT; a daughter, Jean Corey of Kentfield, CA; four grandchildren, Robin Wozny and husband Tom of South Ryegate, VT, Laurie Machell and husband J of North Danville, VT, Diana Corey and Jeanna Drown both of Littleton, NH; eight great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be on Monday, May 12, at 11 AM at the Woodbury Center, VT Cemetery.
