Joyce Linda Fadden, 77, Lebanon, passed peacefully at her home on April 20, 2026. She was born on March 13, 1949, at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH. She was the daughter of Edward Fadden and Lois Henrietta (Bean) Fadden.
A 1967 graduate of Bradford Academy, Joyce continued her education at Northampton Junior College, where she graduated on June 6, 1969. Her professional career began at the P & C Food Market Corp, eventually leading her to start a long-term position at CRREL in Hanover, NH, in 1974. Throughout her 32 years of service with the Department of the Army, she earned numerous promotions and awards before retiring on January 3, 2006. Her career with CRREL provided her with the opportunity to travel extensively.
She was a member of a bowling league traveling throughout the US to compete. She loved to play golf and was a member of a team that traveled and competed for many years. She was a dedicated Miami Dolphins football fan. She never missed a UConn Women’s Husky basketball game. She enjoyed watching Stub Fadden’s race team and often traveled to watch the races. Joyce was a fan of Celine Dion’s music, even traveling to Canada to attend a concert.
She leaves behind two brothers, Stanton Fadden of Bradford, VT, and Ron Fadden and his wife Sharon of North Haverhill; one nephew, KC Fadden; four nieces Cilicia Beachy and her husband Troy, Harvest Fadden and her fiancé Harold Clough, Hannah Leland and her husband Cooper, Jen Bryan and husband Jon; two great-nephews, Trey Beachy, Connor Bryan; four great-nieces Rylie Fisher, Makayla Beachy, Harper Leland, and Leah Bryan. Joyce was predeceased by her parents and sister-in-law, Trudy Fadden.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM at Ricker Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Woodsville, 1 Birch St., Woodsville. Burial will be held privately in the family lot in South Lawn Cemetery.
