May 30, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce B. Page, 71, of Wells River, Vermont. Joyce died on May 30, 2025, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, following a sudden illness.
Joyce was born in Hanover, New Hampshire, on July 22, 1953, the daughter of Daniel Raymond Minor Sr. and Bernice A. (Hovey) Minor. She grew up in Thetford, Vermont, and attended school there. Throughout her life, Joyce was a dedicated worker, most notably at the Bradford Veneer Mill and in the deli at Kelley's Supermarket. Many lifelong friendships were formed from the places where she worked. She happily retired in 2018.
Joyce had a vibrant spirit, and she loved to laugh and joke. A fan of music, in her younger years, it was not uncommon to find her dancing at the 111 Club in Woodsville, or somewhere listening to her favorite group, The Green Mountain Band. She was also an avid participant in the local
women's candlepin bowling league and always looked forward to bowling night. A lover of nature and its beauty, in fair weather, she could be found sitting at a picnic table, or on a bench, watching as traffic passed her by or taking it all in on a long walk.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel Raymond Minor Sr. and Bernice A. Minor, as well as her brother, Daniel R. Minor Jr. Joyce had many loves in her life, including coffee and chocolate, but none greater than the love that she had for her family and friends. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Kosakowski, and her husband, Josh of Groton, Vermont; her son, Billy White, and his wife, Jennifer of Pike, New Hampshire. She also leaves behind two grandsons, Hunter Larabee and his fiancée, Shannon Knowlton of Newcomb, New York, and James Kidder II of West Bath, Maine. She will be deeply missed by her lifelong friend, Glen Godfrey of Wells River, Vermont, and many other friends and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Groton Town Building in Groton, Vermont.
