Woodsville, NH-  Judy (Darby) Morin, 88, of Central Street and formerly of Highland Street, died at her home on Saturday August 13, 2022, after a period of failing health.  She was born in Haverhill, NH on April 20, 1934, to Edward Everett and Mary Ann Florence (Hart) Darby.  She graduated from Woodsville High School with the class of 1952.

Judy married Raymond P. Morin on July 3, 1976.  She worked as a teacher's aide at the James R. Morrill Elementary School in North Haverhill for several years before operating her own day care center until retirement.  Judy was instrumental in beginning the Head Start Program in Woodsville.  She was an active member of the Woodsville United Methodist Church, serving in the Women's group and singing in the choir as a member and director for a time.  She was also proud of her participation in the Woodsville High School Alumni Association.

In her spare time, Judy enjoyed her garden and spending time with her sister in law, Pat Smith at Lake Winnipesaukee.  She also treasured the time with her grandchildren.

Judy was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Florence Darby; her husband, Ray Morin; three brothers, Roger "Buster" Darby, Francis "Bud" Darby, and Ronald Darby; five sisters, Ilene Wiggett, Virginia Bowley, Beverly Johnson, Priscilla Leonard, and Marilyn Bailey.

She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Holden and husband Alfred "Jay" of Woodsville, Teresa Glidden and husband Herb of Addison, VT, and Robin Irwin and her husband Roy of North Haverhill; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service, with Melissa Gould as Funeral Celebrant, will be at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville on Wednesday, August 24 at 2 PM.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville.
