Woodsville, NH Rev. Karl A. Kepler, 85, died June 30, 2012 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. Rev. Kepler was born in Omaha, NE, on September 7, 1926, to Oak A. and Georgie (Genung) Kepler. He graduated from Santa Barbara (CA) High School in 1944 and from the Appalachian Bible College of Bradley, WV in 1974. Following his graduation from high school, he joined the US Marine Corps, serving from March 9, 1944 through May 22, 1946. He was stationed in Okinawa with the Third Fleet. After being honorably discharged, he worked in the newspaper printing business for several newspapers from the West Coast to the East Coast. Rev. Kepler was the last linotype operator at Equity Publishing in Orford, NH. Rev. Kepler currently attended the Lisbon Bible Church. He had pastored churches in Corinth, VT, Groton, VT and Dividing Creek, NJ. He was an avid reader and gardener. He also belonged to the Haverhill VFW Post #5245. Rev. Kepler will be fondly remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and family man who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and sharing His Word. He married the former Norma Ann Chaney on June 26, 1949 and she predeceased him on April 10, 2006. He later married Pauline (Bashaw) Oakes on October 27, 2007. Survivors include his wife Pauline of Woodsville; his children, Kenneth H. Kepler and wife Fiona of Kimball, MI, John C. Kepler and wife Amy of Port Jefferson Station, NY, Nancy K. Bean and husband Ron of Manassas, VA, Donna R. Kepler of Arlington, VA; eight step children; five grandchildren, Daniel Kepler, Laura Fleming, Stephen Bean, Jonathan Kepler, and David Bean; numerous step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; a sister, Allene Wilson of Visalia, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 3rd, from 5 to 7 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. The funeral service will be on Thursday, July 5th at 2 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Russell Wing, officiating. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Dunstable, MA on Friday, July 6th at 1 PM.
