Barnet, VT Kathaleen (Parker) Granger, 91, of Pavilion Lane, died February 26, 2009, at The Pines in Lyndonville, VT. She was born on October 14, 1917, in Detroit, MI, to Frank and Ruth (Raymond) Parker. She was married to Frank Granger on June 29, 1943, in Montreal. Together they owned Granger s Pavilion, a dance pavilion on Harvey s Lake in West Barnet. Kay served as a 50 year member of the Diamond Chapter No. 14 Order of the Eastern Star of Danville, VT and was a member of the Rebekah s . She volunteered with the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Auxiliary in St. Johnsbury and with the West Barnet Women s Fellowship. Kay was predeceased by her husband Frank Granger on April 1, 2000; by one sister Betty (Parker) Chinberg; and two brothers Frank and Donald Parker. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Highland of Uxbridge, MA; her son John Granger and wife Donna of Wetumpka, AL; grandchildren Debbie Johnson and husband Kevin of Wetumpka, Garrett Highland of Uxbridge, and Gregge Highland of South Boston, MA; great grandchildren Taylor, Hunter, and William Johnson of Wetumpka; brother-in-law Charles Chinberg of Napa, CA; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
